Surf – Gozo Fun

In one of the smallest islands of Mediterranean, you’ll find uncrowded line-ups and perfect waves under sunny blue skies.
Welcome to the Mediterranean swells of Gozo and Malta.
If you ask a local citizen for the nearest surf spots, he might tell you that surfers are only spotted once in a while, despite the multiple reef and beach breaks that can be found throughout the country.

The best surf spots in Gozo are:
Ramla beach (NW/N/NE sandy bottom),
San Blas beach (N/NE sandy bottom),
Qbajjar Bay (N/NE rocks),
Xatt l ahmar (S/SW rocks and seaweeds).

In Gozo, tides are not relevant – you’re in the Mediterranean Sea. Swell patterns can’t be precisely determined because there are many different winds and coastal lines in the surrounding areas (Italy, Tunisia, Libya, Greece). In the summer, you may not find a decent wave for over few weeks in the entire territory. Nevertheless, the best swells come from Northwest and Northeast, and they can’t be considered rare (especially in the Winter). The average sea temperatures range from 15°C to 26°C (59°F-78°F), so you’ll only need a 4/3 or 3/2 wetsuit for the colder months (October-June).
In Gozo and Malta, distances are never a problem. You’ll need to drive less than 40 kilometers (25 miles) to reach the most distant point in the country.

Surf Lesson

Be cool! Learn how to Surfing! Three hours where we will get you in the water and standing in your first lesson.
The lessons will give you the confidence to not only stand, but handle yourself better in the waves and have a basic understanding of the surfing and the ocean.

Length: +/- 3 hours.
Participants: Max. 7 persons (minimum age: 10).
Price: €40 per adult.
Minimum per tour: 2 persons.
Car Lift: €5 extra per person.

Included: surfboard, wetsuit, rash vest, water, video and photos.
What to wear: Flip flops, swimsuit, t-shirt, hat, sunglasses and a lot of SunCream!
Location: Dwjera Bay, Inland Sea, Fungus Rock. We do our best to accommodate your wishes, but all tours are weather dependent and will be confirmed at least one day before the tour begin.
